This is Trey. I used to work for US Beverage, I no longer do, so the AVBC brands will have no association with the USB brands (although they have some nice imports).

If you had noticed that the quality of the brews had been down for a few years then it is absolutely a good thing that they are selling! That is great news maybe they will get an owner, or at least an operating partner that cares enough to make a good beer.

Its a pretty significant culture shift to go from beer marketing in Stamford, CT to an iconic Northwest startup-to-regional brewery. Hopefully, the new owners are taking on the brewery because they’re looking for the authentic craft brew business segment. Personally, I believe the fate and maintenance of the frisbee golf course may be a particularly telling signal of what the new owners are planning to do…

Sounds more like bad news than good.

I didn’t know AV Brewery was on the block, but you could tell their hearts haven’t been in for the last few years.

Would be nice to have some passion behind it rather than to keep it on bland autopilot.

Clicking the link to the USB site made me shudder. Anderson Valley beers will now be along side those of Spanish Peaks, Tiger, and Estrella Damm.

Will Anderson Valley return to their former status or fade into irrelevance…

And what about the Festival?
