		<description>Good article... I&#039;m a Baptist pastor and I agree with Daniel Whitfield&#039;s conclusion.  Thanks for posting it.  I wish the church had a more biblical approach on this issue and I fear that many &quot;christians&quot; are self-righteous instead of trusting in the righteousness of Christ alone.  Since I pastor in the South and would lose my job if I confessed to drinking, I have decided not to drink for now so I don&#039;t have to hide anything.  I state the biblical position whenever it comes up in conversation or in Scripture, but it isn&#039;t a hill to die on.  Give your local Baptist church a chance if it is a Bible-believing one.  There are some good pastors, churches, and Baptist followers of Christ out there.
