Michelob used to have a tap handle in this same shape: Triangle.
Im not sure of the significance of the shape, other than it was different than most handles at the time.
Why they didnt just add the brand to the handle is puzzling.

If you look at the near end of the object, it almost looks like a folded piece of paper.

I considered that, but then why is it so close to the back of his desk instead of the front? And why is at an angle? Painters rarely do anything randomly, so the composition must be intentional. I’m still perplexed.

I’d say the triangle thing would be the name-plate for his desk.
