This B.S. has been the root of many an evil and unwise law. In the Salem Witch trials, when someone became ill after encountering a woman who was alleged to be a witch, that chance encounter was taken as proof that the woman was in fact a witch. It is the sun sets because we turn the lights on argument, but with a meaner streak.

It is easy to demonize a liquid, versus accepting the responsibility of ones own actions. So these doctors would argue that a raise in the price of beer would actually decrease the amount of beer drunk? I don’t think so. It is quite more likely that a raise in the price of beer, due to taxation, would more than likely result in a decline in the rate at which people get routine physicals. Physician, heal thyself.
