Traquair's Oak Fermenters

Traquair House is the oldest continuously inhabited home on the British Isles. The house installed a home brewery in the 18th century but stopped using in around 1800. Peter Maxwell Stuart, 20th Laird of Traquair, found the equipment and began using it to brew again in 1965 using the original oak fermenters. They make some truly wonderful beers. This was taken during a visit to the brewery the summer my wife attended the University of Durham.
