Brews on the Jeremiah O’Brien
| September 9, 2007 |
Sunday was also the second day of the 4th annual Brews on the Bay, sponsored by the San Francisco Brewers Guild. Each year it’s been held on the SS Jeremiah O’Brien, a World War II era Liberty Ship docked at Pier 45 at Fisherman’s Wharf.

The S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien, with Alcatraz in the background.

Normally the ship is a tourist attraction, but some of the volunteers really got into the beer festival.

Almost all of the beer was being poured on the Bay side of the ship, affording festival-goers with some great views.

The ship was filled to capacity.

Co-owner Alex Frantz and brewer John Wonder from San Francisco’s newest brewery, Wunder Brewing.

Motor, Justine and Gabby serving 21st Amendment beer.

21st Amendment owner/brewer Shaun O’Sullivan with Marty, one of the Jeremiah O’Brien volunteers.

Exiting the ship, the view back to San Francisco include Coit Tower and the TransAmeria building.

Marty – Howdy! I had gone to the “official” web site to get the dates of the annual brewfest and nothing there re the event – at least that I could readily and easily find. How come? It’s a moneymaker for the ship and if it’s not a cruise, it could be listed as an event as is the July 4 event. Hope all’s well and hopefully Dick will be able to come to the ship more often.
P.S. You have a great website!
THIS LOOKS LIKE FUN!!
