Hello,
I would like to tell you about a Repeal Day Event in Sharon, PA.
The “BOARD” of the Shenango Valley is happy to announce…their 2007 Charity Repeal Day Celebration with all proceeds benefiting the Shenango River Watchers.
WHAT:
1st Annual Charity Repeal Day Celebration and Beer Tasting.
WHEN:
Wednesday, December 5th from 6 to 10pm
WHERE:
Chestnut Street Cafe, Downtown Sharon, PA
WHY:
The event will raise money for the Shenango Valley River Watchers while promoting an appreciation for fine craft beers made available through local beer distributors and microbreweries.
WHO:
The BOARD (The Brotherhood Of Appreciating Repeal Day)
The history behind the BOARD…
The B.O.A.R.D. is a loosely affiliated fraternal organization founded by a small group of friends who enjoyed good beer and good times with higher a goal to make Repeal Day an annual celebration with a noble cause.
Repeal Day marks the repeal of the 18th amendment to our constitution, representing the end of a 13 yearlong ban on the manufacture, sale, and transport of alcoholic beverages in the United States. With the help of several local distributors and microbreweries, we have put together Western PA’s first Repeal Day celebration since 1933. Participants will enjoy samples of a wide array of craft brews poured by experts that pride themselves on the craft. Live music, pub snacks, and a silent auction of beer paraphernalia will provide diversions for all.
The Shenango River Watchers are a non-profit watershed group founded to clean up, preserve and protect the environmental, scenic and recreational attributes of the Shenango River. For more information about the River Watchers visit their website at http://www.shenangoriverwatchers.org/.

Opening hours
The European Beer Festival is open on;
Friday, September 12th - 2008: 15.00 - 23.00
Saturday, September 13th - 2008: 12.00 – 23.00
Sunday, September 14th - 2008: 12.00 – 17.00
Serving samples ends at the festival’s official closing time
Smoking Regulations
As The European Beer Festival is a public event it is a no smoking festival in all indoor areas.
This was also the case at the latest beer festival held in Copenhagen 2007 which we are happy to pass along was a very positive experience for all.
There will be smoking stations in the public outdoor area
Alcohol Policy
It might seem a contradictory in terms to have an alcohol policy however it is far from the case.
We wish for our guests to enjoy their visit to the fullest and that experiencing the world of beer will be a good and educational one without it getting out of control. Which is why visibly drunk persons will not be allowed inside the festival and we take the right to say ‘goodbye’ if some of the guests become a nuisance to other guests or exhibitors.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom is manned during opening hours and costs 1 token to use.
Tokens
The price for guests is maintained at the same level as at previous festivals:
1 token costs DKK 12,-
5 tokens costs DKK 50.-
11 tokens costs DKK 100,-
See also under Samples.
First Aid Personnel
During opening hours a team of professional First Aid Personnel from Danish Red Cross will be present at the festival.
Samples
In order to get a sample you have to give 1 token for the chosen beer. A sample is 10cl. For an especially chosen few and rare beers the sample will however only be 5cl.
See also under Tokens.
Membership of Danish Beer Enthusiasts
The European Beer Festival is of course open to everyone.
Members of Danish Beer Enthusiasts receive a discount in the shape of 2 tokens extra for samples on presentation of a valid membership card.
If you want to become a member send an e-mail to our office here and you can of course also register yourself at the festival.
Membership of other EBCU organisations
