I am pleased to announce my first beer column for the San Francisco Chronicle is in today’s newspaper. The article is on fresh hop beers, or my preferred name for them — Lupulin Nouveau (which Brian Hunt and I came up with).

That is fantastic! Will this be a regular column for them/you? Always a good thing to read a story written by Jay Brooks. I also loved your pieces in Beer Northwest, as an aside.

I’ll drink to that! Sincere congrats, Jay. You’ve joined the daily grind — getting published in a major metro daily paper is a rush, isn’t it? Even though my paper is a MINOR metro daily paper, it’s still a rush thanks to the web. Standing-O, Jay.
