Today’s infographic is an overview of drinking laws in the United States created by Medical Insurance.org, although the website no longer seems to work. To be fair, it appears to be from around 2007, and shows an interesting quartet of U.S. maps illustrating different aspects of alcohol laws followed by a list of control state info and sale hours by state.

    Several years ago, Michigan allowed alcohol to be sold starting at 7 am instead of noon on Sunday, and also allowed sales on Christmas Day starting at noon. Some lawmakers want to extend last call to 4 am, but that is not considered likely to pass.

    Meanwhile, a package of bills that would loosen restrictions on brewpub ownership and brewery tasting rooms is working its way through the legislature: http://www.mlive.com/business/index.ssf/2013/11/changes_to_beer_wine_and_liquo.html
