I too would be worried if the global giants are taking responsibility for promoting the virtues of beer. Here in the UK Most of the Global Giants thankfully have no interest in real ale and promotion of beer is left to pressure groups such as Campaign for Real Ale or CAMRA. Although it does limit the coverage it does at least mean the right kind of message gets across. I couldn't bear the thought of a well funded campaign from our global giant friends urging customers to insist on frozen glasses with their meals to mask the absence of flavour in their products

This reminds me of the film I was shown at a Kirin factory toured with fellow exchange students... the opening line was something like "Beer and man have walked hand in hand since antiquity." I wiped a sentimental tear away with my sleeve and headed to the factory's beer hall knowing the full historical weight of what I was about to consume!
