So if I understand you correctly, I'm the petty one for pointing out that, at best, Califano used the variant spelling (that I don't recall ever seeing anyone use in print before) and which, in fact, has been updated on the Chairman's Corner to reflect the more common spelling; but Califano's ridiculous "awards" for chutzpah and hypocisy aren't petty. Glad we got that cleared up.

Well, as long as you're going to be petty, there is more than one way to spell that word. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/chutzpah.

Jay, someone at CASA must be reading you: the "Chairman's Corner" now says "Chutzpah." Now that's influence!

How weird! Califano was the only politically savvy Cabinet member that Carter hired & the 1st fired. The Wikipedia "needs citation" reason that he was too close to Ted Kennedy makes me laugh! We all know that Ted was a serious boozer!

Neo-prohbes are cranially-rectally inverted on alcohol history - they've never realized that the 18th Amendment MADE the Mafia, not to mention Joe Kennedy's fortune (he bootlegged Scotch)! Time to whup 'em upside the head with an empty beer/wine/booze bottle!

A better idea would be to TAX THE CHURCHES, which own a lot of high-priced real estate nationwide!

The beauty of a made-up award is that anyone can make one up. You can give Califano the very first Califano Award for Distinguished Strides in Hypocrisy and Typos.
