Labeling the States

A custom label maker has on their website a map of the United States with a beer label for each state. For instance, California is Firestone Walker and Oregon is Full Sail. How many can you name? Some are hard to see and some are obscure choices, but it was a fun exercise. Visit etiquette systems for a list of the answers by state or a flash version of the map.

You labeled Colorado, the Napa Valley of Craft Beers, with the swill of Coors Light? Yech! I mean come on, certainly we can label Colorado with a lot better beer than that. Sure, Coors is a big beer company but I don’t think I want to remember our state from that.

I’d suggest doing another map, but this time putting only craft beers on it. How about the New Belgium Brewery for Colorado instead?

Chipper Dave,

“I” didn’t label Colorado with Coors Light or any other of the beers. I didn’t make the map. As I said in the very first sentence it was a custom label manufacturer who made the map. I merely passed it along because I thought it was curious and interesting. Sheesh, don’t shoot the messenger.

It’s quite ironic that Washington’s label is Red Hook. Local beer enthusiasts here have long since labeled that once proud local brewery as having abandoned their roots and as a sellout. More appropriate would be Elysian, Diamond Knot, Fish or Pike.

My mistake. I mistook your report to be your own pic. Sorry for the confusion.
