Consumers will gladly shell out $2.00 for a cup of coffee in a paper cup but should the price of beer rise above $6.99 many will complain it is too expensive "for beer." Our craft product took three weeks (or more) to make and is packaged in GLASS bottles and expensive carriers. Seek the best VALUE, what gives you the most utility or pleasure per dollar, not the cheapest price.

I can't even act surprised that the NY Times would choose to insult my intelligence. They have been out of touch with the rest of the world for some time and I don't see that changing soon. I do use the paper to start my BBQ sometimes when my neighbor tosses their copy.

I'm off to The Bistro IPA event Saturday, maybe I can get a crap-o-copia for $12 there.

Jay,

My uggestion; drink 2 "expensive" beers, take a deep breath, and watch the sunset.
These "Beer Budget" or "Surviving in the Big Apple For Less Than $20" stories are almost as old as the oldest profession in the world. Mixing that thought with $20 might put a smile on your face while in NY, but there wouldn't be enough money left for a Nathan's hot dog and a Pabst.
