Still wading through all the ridiculous "controversy" over this idea. So bizarrely arbitrary on the part of the VA agency; "beer frozen as a dessert is not culinary purpose" but the same restaurant's Rustico's Guinness cupcakes are?

Too bad he wasn't using some fruity A-B beer to make them; their lobbying money might help.

I'm also irritated as hell by the MADD bits. Since when did keeping minor amounts of alcohol out of products that might appeal to children come under the purview of an organization against drunk driving?

Thanks for the updates on this story - a friend pointed out you'd updated today. How screwy is this? I guess they should have not put it on the kids menu.

I believe Saranac had developed something similar, akin to the plastic tubed popsicles, and they were immediately banned by the state of NY.

Guess it's homebrew to the rescue, eh?
