I’ve never been to Britain, but I’ve heard about the pub scene from friends, & have read about it, so I’ll make some “educated guesses” about the “bad actors”, some of which assume that the window btwn afternoon closure & evening opening for pubs still exists in British law.

They (innate stupidity’s a given):

1. Are inveterate guzzlers (I NEVER would get wasted by drinking 2 “session” (4% ABV or less) beer pints/hr for 4 hrs, even on an empty stomach – by the 3rd/4th, I’d be off to the loo to pee, & the trips would become more frequent thereafter).
2. Off-hours, booze/drug it up (cheap gin/vodka/crack/meth – whatever they can afford & get most easily).
3. Are mostly “punks” (< age 30; never had adults kick their ass/teach them civility)
4. Have alcohol-intolerant genetics that exacerbate their problems.
