In the ad, two suburban men are sitting in their backyard enjoying a couple of brewskis when a gypsy organ grinder happens upon them, produces a pilsner glass and holds it out expectantly. The man pouring beer just smirks. Ah, it was a more innocent time, when a swarthy stranger roaming the neighborhood, looking for beer handouts, was not cause for alarm.
