The 5th annual Bay Area Firkin Gravity Festival was held Saturday, April 5 at Triple Rock Brewery in Berkeley, California.
The festival is held at Triple Rock, one of California’s earliest brewpubs.
This year, nearly thirty casks of real ale were available for sampling.
With several beer people in attendance. From left: Alec Moss (from Half Moon Bay Brewing), Scott Cramlet and Aldred Griffin (both from Rubicon Brewing), Jack Van Stone (wth Lost Coast Brewery), Denise Jones (from Moylan’s) and Dan Del Grande (with Bison/Butte Creek Brewing).
There were even firkins all along the bar.
Head brewer—and festival organizer—Christian Kazakoff and co-owner John Martin in the brewery.
This year, the festival was packed from the very beginning, with a line out front that began before the festival opened.
Food was flowing, too, as evidenced by the Jack of Diamonds food holder perched atop one festival goer.
And firkins in the back, where there were other beer people hiding, too. From left. Alec Moss again, Jesse Houck (from 21st Amendment), Rich Higgins (from Thirsty Bear and others) and Steve with the two Justabbys (I can’t keep them straight so I’m giving up and will start calling Justine and Gabby Justabby; also from 21st Amendment).
