This Beer Glossory is not intended to be complete. These are some of the more common abbreviations and terms that I frequently use on this blog. I’ll be adding terms as I use them, so please bear with me during the early days of this glossary.
For a more complete glossary, consult the recommendations at the bottom of this page:
- a.b.v. or abv
- alcohol by volume:abv is the most common method in the U.S. for expressing the percentage of alcohol strength of beer.
- Kung Fu Fighting
- Infighting between small breweries, especially counterproductive infighting. Originated from a comment posted to this blog by one brewery dissing another where the commenter used an assumed name, Jackie Chan.
