The geography of this blog is essentially the world. Wherever there is good beer, that’s where I want to be. However, that’s a pretty daunting task for one person, so the reality is that coverage will be more comprehensive closer to home and then will radiate out in concentric circles. So coverage will likely be as follows:

First Tier (Most Coverage): Northern California, with an emphasis on the Bay Area.

Second Tier (Much Coverage): Beer news that’s national in scope.

Third Tier (Some Coverage): The Western States, including the rest of California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska. Also will include Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho and Colorado.

Fourth Tier (Occasional Coverage): The remaining U.S. states plus beer news that’s international in scope. This will likely be especially Canada, England, Belgium, Germany and the primary beer nations.

Fifth Tier (Coverage from Time to Time): The rest of the world, especially if a big story of particular impact or importance to the industry is happening there.
