Celebrator Best of the West Fest, Pt. 2

February 15, 2009

Here are more photos from the Best of the West Fest, put on by the Celebrator Beer News, the final event of SF Beer Week.

Me at the fest, flanked by friends Sean and Cathy, in from Vancouver, Canada.

Ted Vivatson (from Eel River Brewing).

Three from Alaska; Chaz Lakip, Gabe Fletcher and Ben Johnson, the latter two both from Midnight Sun Brewing, are on the right.

Dave Buhler (from Elysian Brewing).

The center island, one of four areas in the ballroom where breweries were pouring samples of their beer.

Gabby and Justine, the 21A Girls (from 21t Amendment).

The Hawaiian contingent.

Bruce Paton (the Beer Chef), Gabe Fletcher (from Midnight Sun) and Betsy (from the Toronado).

An old friend I haven’t seen in awhile, Mike Smith (from Unibroue) serving La Fin Du Monde.

I stumbled upon some people having a group photo taken, and snapped one as well.

Me and Sully, Shaun O’Sullivan (from 21st Amendment).

Brenden Moylan, working the taps (from Marin Brewing/Moylan’s).

Over in one corner, a silent auction was taking place, raising money for the CSBA, the California Small Brewers Association.

More brewers mugging for the camera. You couldn’t throw a stick without hitting a brewer Sunday night.

Ray Lindecker and Rich Norgrove (from Bear Republic Brewing).

Alec Moss (from Half Moon Bay Brewing) and Jay Sheveck (from the Celebrator, and a filmmaker making Beer Pioneers).

Ed Chainey, bottom right, serving up his beers.

Oskar Blues new rep. in Northern California — now here is her business card?

On the air with the Brewing Network, broadcasting live from the fest. From left: Shaun O’Sullivan, me and Tom Dalldorf.

Rodger Davis (from Triple Rock).

Jessica Jones (from Firestone Walker Brewing) at the end of the evening.
