LMAO at that one. When I bottled homebrew (I switched to Cornelius kegs in the 80’s), I soaked the labels off as I emptied them (4-6 @ a time in my kitchen sink). For mass sterilization, they sat in my bathtub (filled w/bleach-infused water); afterward, I rinsed them w/hot water, then dried them in a 250 deg oven, as I had no dishwasher in my Oakland apt. Once I had 2-3 cases’ worth, those got reused, & I kept a fair # of half-liter Grolsch bottles around as well – those were easy, as the rubber washers could be popped off & sanitized separately from the bottle. Oxy-clean wasn’t around 30 yrs ago.
