Saturday, July 2, was Marin’s Breast Fest, officially know as “‘Fermenting Change’ Microbreweries Battling Breast Cancer.” Held behind Marin Brewing in the shopping center at Larkspur, across the street from the ferry landing, every year it seems more and more people attend this festival. And why not, it’s a great cause with free music and plenty of terrific beer. I certainly had a great time, despite the crowd.
The festival gets a great turnout year after year.
Head brewers from sister breweries: Arne Johnson, from Marin Brewing, and Denise Jones, from Moylan’s.
Rodger Davis, excited and unable to contain a smile about his new gig as head brewer at Triple Rock.
Until he realized he was wearing the wrong logowear, flying the old flag.
Moonlight Brewing’s Brian Hunt, explaining to his assistant brewer, Jeff Barkley, not to let the strange man in the black t-shirt take their picture. Alas, he was too late.
The 21A Twins, Gabby and Justine.
Emil, from Steelhead on the Peninsula, Kathryn and Melissa Myers.
Betsey, from the Toronado, last year’s “All Hopped Up For the Cure” t-shirt, and Natalie, from Russian River Brewing.
Glynn Phillips (Rubicon), Brendan Moylan (Marin/Moylan’s), Alec Moss (Half Moon Bay), Brian Hunt (Moonlight), Rodger Davis (Triple Rock) and Josh Minor (Drake’s).
And Gabrielle from Marin Brewing sent me a few of the photographs she took during the festival. Thanks, Gabby.
