This is a Photoblog dedicated to photographs of beer, breweries and the brewing community. Really, anything that has something to do with beer might show up here. In my work as a beer journalist I take hundreds, maybe thousands, of photographs every year. Most photos that are useful for the magazines and brewspapers that I write for have to be a certain way, and while there is some room for creativity, it’s a fairly narrow range. So just for my own amusement, I usually try to take more artistic photos that have little or no news value. It serves no purpose except perhaps the practice might make me a better photographer. I simply enjoy it, maybe you will, too.

I’ve set up this photoblog as a companion to the Brookston Beer Bulletin, which is my beer news blog. I’ll try to post a new beer-related photo each day, if I can. I have literally thousands of old ones on a 500 GB external hard drive which I’ll need to go through, and I’ll begin trying to take more new ones now that I have a place to display them.
