Wednesday’s ad is for Trinkt Sternenberg Bier, from 1907. From the late 1800s until the 1960s, poster art really came into its own, and in Europe a lot of really cool posters, many of them for breweries, were produced. This poster was made for Actien-Brauerei Zum Sternenberg, in Sternenberg, Switzerland, located in the Canton of Zürich. The artist who created the poster was Swiss painter Burkhard Mangold, and it was printed by Wassermann & Schäublin of Basel.
