2007 Bloggies

January 9, 2007 By Jay Brooks

E-mails have been floating around this morning with the news that nominations for the 2007 Bloggies awards end tonight at 10 p.m. eastern time (that’s 7 p.m. for us left coasters). If you like the Brookston Beer Bulletin, please consider nominating it for “Best New Weblog” and/or “Weblog of the Year” (hey, I can dream, too, can’t I?). But you have to nominate at least three so I recommend also voting for Lucy Saunders’ wonderful Beer Cook and Grilling with Beer blogs, especially since she nominated mine. Apparently, final nominations are determined by the number of votes potential nominees receive, so I’ll need all the help I can get, dear loyal readers (note pleading suck up tone). Just click the link to the 2007 Bloggies below and start nominating whoever you want in at least three categories and then follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. That’s it. Thanks.

Ditto what Cindy says! But please note: I think there’s a typo in the link to Grilling With Beer in the entry.
Looks like there is an extra space in the URL. It’s http://www.grillingwithbeer.com — please make note in your
    nominations!

    Now, go vote, everybody! 🙂

    Cheers!

    Lisa

Such a nice compliment! But beercook.com and grillingwithbeer.com are websites, static HTML, and not blogs per se, so please save your votes for Jay and brookston beer bulletin. I am waaayyyy to slow in updating content on my sites to earn a bloggie 😉 but this will spur me on….next week….
    cheers, Lucy

Absolutely, Jay, you have my vote. I am probably your biggest “town crier” marketing man. I’ve probably cited your site in an e-mail to a friend or in a face-to-face conversation once a day for the past six months. I’ve directed traffic your way for the especially fun things such as the Rube Goldberg video. What I’m saying is, I need to be on the payroll, man.

Done. My guess is blogs will be the big hit of 2007 since the…um…typical beer “forums” have been plagued with an upsurge in members who have NO sense of internet humor.

Hats off on your crusade for autism as well.

    Cheers!
