Thursday’s ad is for Budweiser, from 1964. In this ad, it’s election time once again and time to Pick-A-Pair, whether it be six-packs or a new leader. The ad even suggests we should “be sure to vote twice.” Which pair will you pick? With only five days to go until “E-Day,” and one of the most important ones in my lifetime, please make sure you to do exercise your right and make your vote count. But only once.
The jingle tag was “Pick a pair of 6-packs, buy Bud” (which my dad did quite often). We moved the inferior fridge that came w/the house he bought in MD to the basement so to make room for the better one we brought from CA – that became the beer fridge w/xtra freezer space for meat my mom bought on special.
We also let our across-the-street neighbors (who kept Kosher) use it to store stuff during Passover week.
