Tuesday’s ad is for Brasserie Mousel, from around 1930. From the late 1800s until the 1980s, poster art really came into its own, and in Europe a lot of really cool posters, many of them for breweries, were produced. I’ve been posting vintage European posters all last year and will continue to do so in 2020. This poster was created for Brasserie Mousel, which was founded in 1825, although there was a brewery on the site in Luxembourg City since 1511. In 2000, the Mousel merged with Brasserie Diekirch, which itself had been founded in 1871. In 2002, they were acquired by AB-InBev. I don’t know who created the poster.
