Friday’s ad is for Pabst, from 1896. I don’t know if it was intended as an advertisement or something else, but it’s a beautiful piece of art. The only name attached to the image is “rose window,” which is what it resembles, of course, a popular stained glass design.

I *think* this was an architectural detail in the brewery itself. Those 19th c. breweries were full of stuff like this.

Have you been to the old Pabst campus? It’s pretty incredible. Like a ghost town with some wild updates going on. My brother and I stopped there during a road trip last year.
A very similar rose window was a part of one of the old buildings. Even more interesting was the massive stained glass window of King Gambrinus. It had been covered in plywood for decades but is now fully cleaned up and shimmering. RAD.
