Wednesday’s ad is another Budweiser ad, this one from 1957, part of the “Where there’s life” series. It’s a tight shot, with a warmly-dressed model shown in close-up amid autumn leaves as her beau pours out a can of Budweiser into her glass, as she look up longingly. Not sure what to make of this one, but something just doesn’t feel right.

What doesn’t feel (& wasn’t) right is the pour & the hole in the can. There’s only 1 visible hole, which would cause a “gurgling” pour, unlike what’s shown. Further, that hole is semicircular – normal “churchkeys” makes triangular holes.
This looks to be a combo of photo & “retouch” overlay (maybe to cover a pinhole on the top of the can that allowed a non-gurgling pour & a proper head).
