Porter Vs. Stout Infographic

September 10, 2013 By Jay Brooks

porter-icon
Today’s infographic, since it’s my son Porter’s 12th birthday, is Porter vs. Stout, showing the modern differences between the various types of beer called porter or stout. Historically, it’s well-settled that they were essentially the same beer, but have diverged in recent decades. The poster was created by Ethan John, of Geek Beer, who used BJCP descriptions and info from Ray Daniel’s book Designing Great Beers.
