Anon, if indeed that is your real name. You must be new around here. Politics shows up here quite a bit, this is hardly the first time, nor will it be the last. In any event, I don’t think you can avoid politics in anything, nor should you. The word, which comes from the Greek, of course, means essentially “pertaining to citizens.” Everything is political.
