Beer In Ads #2136: Damsleth’s Julöl Bird

Sunday’s holiday ad is for a Norwegian beer, from the 1940s. It was created by well-known Norwegian cartoonist, illustrator and ad-man Harald Damsleth. It depicts a colorful songbird sitting on a snow-covered branch above the word “Julöl” in the snow below. This time the “J” is a topped by a stalk of wheat broom.
