A Hilarious Spoof Of The Uber Beer Geek

April 21, 2011 By Jay Brooks

Ray Daniels of the Cicerone program tweeted this link yesterday, but I didn’t get a chance to watch it until this morning. The creator of the video, Liquid Horseplay, must be an insider because he’s knows a lot of the right people. The video was made using the Xtranormal movie making architecture and is a hilarious spoof of the uber beer geek. Make sure you watch it through to the end, because it just keeps getting funnier.

J: Awesome piece of work. Should be required viewing for all beer geeks. But will they get it?

That character isn’t beer geek, he’s a moron. It’s almost offensive to call him a beer geek. A “beer dick” is more appropriate.
    It is funny though.

Absolutely hilarious! I am soooo glad I only drink Naniinfintesimal Beers now.
By the way, just had a pretty good pastrami on rye paired with a “Beer Camp Maple Red EH’L” at SIERRA NEVADA today for lunch. I highly…. oh, man, did I just out myself?
    Very good stuff!

At least he pronounced “Pliny” correctly.

Hate to pop your Plinny pronunciation theory, but as a student of the Latin tongue, the Roman author and philosopher Gaius Plinius Secundus would likely not have recognized the letter “y” at all, and certainly not as a part of his name. If he were to prefer a shrtened version, it could be plin-EE I suppose, but not PLIN-ee. My get is the other hopheads called him Sec.
