Beer In Ads #1364: When Gentlemen Agree

November 4, 2014 By Jay Brooks

Tuesday’s election day ad is for Budweiser, from the 1950s. A good political ad about “When Gentlemen Agree.” Now if only we could find some gentlemen or anyone to agree.

Good luck after yesterday’s Senate sweep by the Repubs – thank heavens they don’t have enough seats to override the inevitable plethora of Presidential vetoes to come. The only newly-elected moderate is the guy from Colorado.

The drawing is hella cool, w/the donkey & elephant somehow holding smokes in their feet that there’s no way in hell they’ll ever be able to drag on!
