Sunday’s ad is for Walsheim Weisse, from 1930. From the late 1800s until the 1960s, poster art really came into its own, and in Europe a lot of really cool posters, many of them for breweries, were produced. This poster was made for the Walsheim-Brauerei, located near the western edge of Germany. It was founded by Friedrich Christian Schmidt in 1848, but was destroyed by airstrikes during the second world war. It was created by Swiss artist Otto Baumberger.
