Today is Tomme Arthur’s 50th birthday — The Big 5-O. Tomme is Director of Brewery Operations for Port Brewing and the Lost Abbey. One of the established stars of the San Diego brewing scene, Tomme is justly famous for his terrific beers, like his Cuvee de Tomme, the Red Poppy, the Angel’s Share and the Track series. Plus, he introduced washoes to the brewing community. He’s also one of my favorite people to judge at GABF with. Join me in wishing Tomme a very happy birthday.
At GABF in 2005. Jeff Bagby, brewer at Pizza Port, Tomme, and Eric Rose, brewer at Hollister Brewing Co..

Happy bday Tomme!!! Ironically Harry is brewing a different version of your Double Date today but using raisins. He has done the date version you helped him with but wanted to try a different twist this time. We’ll toast to you when it’s done.

That’s hilarious. That’s been there for several years, and nobody, including me, noticed it before. Thanks for pointing it out. Cheers, J
