This ad was made for the Seattle Brewing & Malting Co., who made Rainier Beer, and was later known as the Rainier Brewing Company of Seattle, Washington. This one is for “Malt Rainier,” which is billed as “The Pure Malt Tonic for Mothers Who Require Additional Nourishment and Strength.” The ad also shows a woman and her baby and it’s not clear if she’s taking the malt tonic to give her extra nourishment and strength to feed her baby, or if she’s feeding it directly to her child.
