Today’s infographic is the latest from Pop Chart Lab, this time it’s The Magnificent Multitude of Beer. The poster features “ales and lagers into over 100 delicious styles from hoppy IPAs to fruity lambics, and including over 500 individual beers as notable examples of each style as well as glassware recommendations. The Magnificent Multitude of Beer captures the proud work of hundreds of breweries around the world, clocks in at a staggering 60 inches by 40 inches, and is the perfect finishing touch for your man cave or lady lair.” You can buy the poster for $90 at Pop Chart Lab.

Handy Beer Flavor Chart

September 17, 2013 By Jay Brooks

flavor-wheel
Today’s infographic has no title but the filename is “Handy Beer Flavor Chart.” It apparently was created by the Beer Life, a website that appears to no longer be active. While not entirely accurate, it is at least an interesting and different approach to showing the range of different kinds of beers.

Porter Vs. Stout Infographic

September 10, 2013 By Jay Brooks

porter-icon
Today’s infographic, since it’s my son Porter’s 12th birthday, is Porter vs. Stout, showing the modern differences between the various types of beer called porter or stout. Historically, it’s well-settled that they were essentially the same beer, but have diverged in recent decades. The poster was created by Ethan John, of Geek Beer, who used BJCP descriptions and info from Ray Daniel’s book Designing Great Beers.

Beer Styles Poster

May 30, 2013 By Jay Brooks

beer-styles
Today’s infographic is a simple Beer Styles poster, divided into ales and lagers, with just five of each. At the bottom there are also three hybrids (not marked) and hard cider. Still, if you knew nothing, this would be an okay place to start your education.
