Today’s art is by Charlene Audrey, a freelance illustrator born in Syracuse, new York, but raised in Quebec, Canada. She’s done high-end wallpaper and decorative arts but more lately does painting. She created these four paintings which are sold as posters on most of the popular poster websites. Each one depicts the beer of a specific country; Belgium, the U.S., Ireland and Germany. Why these four? I couldn’t tell you. Each painting shows a bottle of beer and a glass filled with the beer in the foreground. The backgrounds include a sign for the pub or brewery and a landscape from the country, too.

Hey Mr. Brooks! I had stumble across your bulletin awhile ago and had “tried” to write back on a I pod- My computer was out, at the end I completely lost the message when summiting. First, thank you so much for your article on my beer posters! I had been contacted many years ago to design a beer label and had kept this research. The posters are inspired by the most popular brewing countries (the ones I thought was most popular) And they are kind of parodies from existing labels. I did not know there was a name of “Shipyard” in Portland” I thought it was a cool name for the boston label!! Si it is a cool name LOLOLOL! Anyways I had fun doing them, it was a change in subjects of things that I often create. I am happy it sparks so much interests in the “Beer society” I’ve gotten a lot of response and these posters were the subject of copies also-If you get to see some of them printed on metal-They are faux and violates copyrights. The company Mohawk is working on floor mats of these subjects, will keep you posted if you are interested. Anyways, thank you again for your article. I will keep following your bulletin. Cheers!
