Wednesday’s ad is for Rheingold, from 1953. In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, English actor Edmund Gwenn, best known for playing “Kris Kringle” in “Miracle on 34th Street,” muses that fancy packages don’t necessarily make things better “but they do add an extra touch” just like Rheingold Extra Dry.

Beer In Ads #2550: Our Beer Is Rheingold Says Tony & Sally DeMarco

Tuesday’s ad is for Rheingold, from 1946. In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, American burlesque/vaudeville dancer in the first half of the 20th century who performed with his wife as “The Dancing De Marcos” Tony and Sally DeMarco, talks about how he and his wife, the Dancing DeMarcos, spend hours and hours working on their dancing, but still out dancing during their leisure time, although then they also drink Rheingold Extra Dry.

Beer In Ads #2549: My Beer Is Rheingold Says Tommy Dorsey

Monday’s ad is for Rheingold, from 1953. In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, American jazz trombonist, composer, conductor and bandleader of the Big Band era Tommy Dorsey, talks about how he spends hours and hous working on new music and arranging, which makes him very thirsty for Rheingold Extra Dry.

In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, American actress, star of Hollywood films, Broadway productions, and television series Anne Baxter, talks about how many record albums she has, but she only serves one beer, Rheingold Extra Dry.

In the 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, sportswriter Bill Corum, talks about how he slakes his “galloping thirst” with Rheingold Extra Dry.

Beer In Ads #2546: My Beer Is Rheingold Says Ida Lupino

Friday’s ad is for Rheingold, from 1948. In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, Anglo-American actress and singer Ida Lupino, who became a pioneering director and producer—the only woman working within the 1950s Hollywood studio system to do so, she asks for help in deciding if she’s a better actor or director. But she apparently doesn’t need any help picking her beer, which naturally is Rheingold Extra Dry.

Beer In Ads #2545: My Beer Is Rheingold Says Adolphe Menjou

Thursday’s ad is for Rheingold, from 1948. In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, American actor Adolphe Menjou tells the story about the time he was fitted for four suits in a Paris Railway as an illustration of how much of a connoisseur he is, beer connoisseur even, and declaring Rheingold Extra Dry the best.

Menjou also appeared in a second ad that same year. In this second ad, he talks about how once he was introduced to collecting things, like stamps, he just went nuts, and the same was true when he was introduced to Rheingold Extra Dry.

In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, American actress of radio, stage, film, and television Mercedes McCambridge talks about chasing rainbows but contrasts that by saying “nowhere [has she] found a beer to compare with New York’s one and only Extra Dry beer — Rheingold!”

In the late 1940s and 1950s, Rheingold recruited a number of prominent celebrities to do ads for them, all using the tagline: “My beer is Rheingold — the Dry beer!” In this ad, English stage, screen and radio actor Herbert Marshall explains that while he likes variety in the roles he chooses to play, he prefers to stick to just one beer, Rheingold Extra Dry.
