Today’s infographic, The World of Beer, is subtitled “An introduction to the major types of ales and lagers.” So at least they’re not trying to be complete. Still, I”ve seen worse overviews.

Wednesday’s ad is for also for Schlitz, from 1953. It’s a more low key Schlitzerland ad, showing a cocktail party under way. With the tagline in the bottom lefthand corner — “Life is Wonderful in Schlitzerland, U.S.A.” — even the dogs and cats are happy.

Monday’s ad is for Pete’s Wicked Summer Ale, from 2001. Since it’s opening day for the 2013 baseball season, I thought a baseball-themed ad seemed topical for today, and this one also includes former Playboy playmate Crista Nicole, who was the centerfold in May of that same year.
MLB Stadium Beer Price Report
Today’s infographic is from Save on Brew showing the MLB Stadium Beer Price Breakdown. Although it’s from 2012, the prices are probably similar, even if they’ve likely gone up a bit. But since it’s opening day for this year’s baseball season, now is a good time to start saving since the prices at games are so outrageously overpriced.

Friday’s ad is for Schlitz, from 1957. When “the fun begins at Schlitzo’clock.” The Schlitzfest ad campaign, and especially the accompany artwork, is one of my all-time favorites. I’ve even seen shirts made out of the art, but alas never in my size.
